Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to share a comprehensive progress report on the university’s strategic plan. The collaborative, campus-wide planning process began in 2020, with implementation beginning in the fall of 2022. After two years, we have made remarkable strides in advancing initiatives that meaningfully support our mission.
We would like to highlight significant initiatives progressing this fall. Our Financial Aid Program has implemented changes to make education more affordable for students. In Faculty Advancement, we are expanding opportunities for collaboration and professional growth. Additionally, the RCM Optimization initiative is refining the budget model to better align with the university’s mission. The Business Efficiencies initiative is streamlining policies and systems to improve our daily operations.
Along with this report, we want to update you on our efforts to advance interdisciplinary, cross-college education and research. Many of the Interdisciplinary Collaboration Committee’s recommendations are already being put into action. Two key developments are: first, the establishment of the Interdisciplinary Affairs Group, which will play a central role in coordinating and supporting cross-college research, teaching and community-engaged scholarship. Second, is the creation of the Faculty Development and Collaboration Hub (FDC-Hub), whose mission is to connect faculty to opportunities for interdisciplinary development and collaboration. The Hub, launching this semester, will partner with schools and colleges to grow and support networks of faculty with shared interests.
We hope you will take a few moments to review the progress report and see the impactful work taking place across our campus. These efforts are reflective of the work of many faculty, staff and students who have provided valuable input, served on committees and overseen the implementation of these initiatives.
